Once again, Facebook has created an amazing and powerful feature. Called “Facebook Custom Audience”, this one allows your business to reach customers based on a range of different targetting settings from a pre-existing list.
How to create a Facebook Custom Audience?
Login in to your Adverts Manager Center and click on the Power Editor tab. Unfortunately, this is the only way to create custom audiences, so if you”re not very comfortable using the Power Editor, I advise you to get familiar with it.
After downloading your campaigns, you are ready to create your “Custom Audience”:
A new tab will appear asking which tagetting options you want to import:
- email addresses
- UID (the Facebook ID, if you know them)
- phone numbers
After importing, Facebook will encrypt the data and show the volume of your customers that have Facebook accounts – matching the imported information.
Now you”re ready to create highly target campaigns to your customers and/or their friends on facebook. When creating an advert, on your targeting options you will see a new option available:
“Facebook Custom Audiences” are available to any type of Facebook campaign, from fan acquisition to adverts.
An extremely powerful advertising option
You don”t need to be a online guru to use this feature! The most important thing is to understand how to use it strategically in the context of your business. For example, you can import a list of people who subscribe your newsletter and create an advert to promote a limited online offer during sales season. Just think about the amazing possibilities you have available. Best of all, creating custom audiences is free and accessible to all marketeers!
